    Cash for Gold

    Saturday, April 30, 2011

Do you have jewelries lying around collecting dust? I have quiet a few. I like jewelries in an instant, but I usually wear them once and never touch it again. I have sent some to my sisters back home as a gift, but I have a few in the jewelry box. I am even thinking of getting rid of them. Of course to those jewelries I bought myself.

Back home if you want to get rid of your jewelries, you can easily take it to a pawnshop and you can pawn or sell it there. Here is different. There are no pawnshops around that could take your jewelries, but you could always do cash for gold. If you are not using it and have been thinking of getting rid of it then why not use it to make extra money. Money for a vacation this summer really sounds so good right now.

    Fits Perfectly

I was writing for this one company before that sells cheap clothes for $17.00 something dollars. I did buy a couple of pants but didn't really like their fit on me. That is what I get for buying it online, right? Well, they look really cute so I got one. The height was just perfect but the fit isn't. I don't even know where they are now. I must have placed it inside the balikbayan box. Anyways, I was looking at their dresses and there is this one dress that I really like for my sister Ging-ging. I figure with her height and width it will look nice on her. She didn't want me to buy it for her because she thinks that I have given her enough but I insisted especially that she is graduating soon she might need it for school. Anyways, the package finally got to them and a lot of kids were so happy to get their book bags just in time for the school opening. It has been a while since I sent it to her that I completely forgot about it. I was just so happy and surprised to see how beautiful she looked in it (love thy own, isn't it?). It fits her perfectly. It is the best $17.00 I could have spent. Just look at her below with the matching necklace we gave her for Christmas.

I just love giving stuff to my family because you can always tell how grateful they are. Papa and I have already started buying "pasalubong" or gifts for the family for our trip next year (God willing). I am sure they will all like it.

    Self Control

I always admired people that have strong self control when it comes to selecting healthy food to eat and going on an exercise. I tried so hard to go on an exercise a couple of weeks ago, but it only lasted for 2 days. I was so sore, and I didn’t want to do it anymore.

Ryan told me that I should keep going because being sore means the exercise is working. I have been so immobile plus I eat just whatever food. In other words, I do not watch the calories and all that. I wanted to start watching what I eat, but I got really busy. That is why I am really tempted to check out www.dietpillsthatactuallywork.net for a diet pill that actually work. I know it may sound like an easy fix, but whatever works for me now, I will take.

    Papa's Apple Tree/Plant

As I said before, Papa and I went to Menards to look at some stuff. We went to check out the plants and the fruit trees that they have after getting a couple of grass seeds from the inside. They have a lot of beautiful roses there with different colors too. When we were checking out the fruit trees. Some of the cherry plants were already bearing fruit but Papa didn't like it as much. The one little tree that caught his attention was the apple tree. I can't remember the name of the apple exactly but it was already bearing its fruit. It is not big yet that is why Papa got so excited. He didn't ask me to buy it for him but of course knowing my Papa, I asked him if he wants it and he smiled and I bought it for him. As we were walking towards my car I jokingly told him that what if it is not going to grow since his corn only grew 3 that he planted at the back of the garage last March and he said well those were seeds and this is already growing. I told him that if he will kill it he will owe me and he giggled. Unfortunately, I brought my car not the van or Ryan's so it was a little hard to put it in the trunk. Well it stayed right next to Papa in the front seat, good thing it wasn't that big. I was laughing how he even put the seat belt around it.

When we got home Ryan asked me what took so long. I told him that we took home something again. I also told him that he shouldn't let us be out together because we always think of the strangest things to take him. Papa and I are not quite sure how big the fruit will be. Papa jokingly said that it might be as big as a small tomato. All we know is the picture of it looks big and red, so we may have to see how it is going to be. He already planted them and Frankie kept going near it saying "hi".

Good job anak! Pictures taken by Frankie.

    Trying to help.

Planted. I just hope that the friendly bunnies and squirrels will not feast over it. The squirrels already dug the pot that papa placed outside where he planted the flower seeds that Ryan got. So hopefully they will leave it this time but if not then tough luck. At least Papa get to try to plant an apple tree.

    Yoga

    Tuesday, April 26, 2011

I was so anxious to buy new yoga pants last fall. I was so determined so finally start yoga again after being in hiatus for a couple of years after I gave birth to Frankie. I remember enjoying yoga. It was harder in the beginning, but I got the hang of it after a while.

Now that I have given birth and have not done it for quiet a while, I can’t believe how hard to do yoga again. I can’t lift both of my legs anymore in the air for a long period of time. I used to be able to do that without a problem. My legs and thighs are getting fatter too that is why it is getting heavier for me to do it. I have let myself go that is for sure.

    Arranging The Living Room

I have to much to do for school. I have a final next week for Math and a power point presentation for Physical Science, but when I got up after nap earlier, I just had the energy to do a make over in the living room. We finally got rid of the old couches. Ryan put out the big one last week, but he was not able to put out the other one earlier. I know he was in a hurry this morning and still a little sick. I was so desperate to git rid of it that I took it all to the front of the house by myself. I pushed it all the way from the main door to the street. Ryan will be so surprise to know that I got rid of it by myself.

I decided to move the couches around and the entertainment center. It looks a lot better now but the couches take so much space in the living room. Ryan planned to finish the painting before my graduation party, but I am not holding on to it because I know how busy he is. I am just so excited to buy new curtains from Kohl's because we carry them now. Some of them look really pretty and I can't wait to get some for the living room. It makes me happy seeing our living room. I felt like we have accomplished something because we worked hard for what we have right now. Next plan will be buying a dining room set.

    Welcome to the Shore

    Monday, April 25, 2011

    Contribution by Stevie Kirby.

My absolute favorite show is Jersey Shore. I know it’s totally corny and is killing my brain cells, but it’s such a guilty pleasure! I love watching the guidos and guidettes fight and go to bars and hit on other absurd people…there’s always something ridiculous going on. My favorite character is definitely The Situation. He’s such a joke, but he seems like an affable guy! He doesn’t take himself as seriously as some of the others do, and he has a way with the ladies, that’s for sure.

After last week’s episode, I went on my internet connection from Clear-Internet.com and did some re! search on Mike, aka, The Situation. He’s actually older than most of the cast but he’s had a relatively real professional career before the show. Apparently he’s writing a book now and I’m sure he’s making a killing off of appearances. He’s a pretty recognizable figure nowadays and has really milked his fifteen minutes of fame! If I ever saw Mike in my hometown, I would definitely ask him to hang out and have a beer!

    Six Flags Here We Come

I came home from work last Friday exhausted when I was greeted with a hug and a kiss. Ryan got home earlier than me and was sitting by the kitchen table reading the paper. After I was able to relax a little bit and cool off he turned to me smiling and asked me which day I would like to go to Six Flags. I looked at him puzzled since I don't remember anything that we discussed about it and besides Frankie is still too little to go on those rides. I told him I don't know and asked him if we are really going. He looked at me and waved a couple of passes to Six Flags and said that he won it at work. There are 4 dates that he let me pick up but I haven't decided yet. I have never been to Six Flags and not really that interested but if it is for free, hey why not? Papa and Frankie will pass on this but as soon as he is ready, we will surely take him there. I am actually excited. I will try to take a lot of pictures.

    Energy

    Monday, April 11, 2011

Where did my energy go? It seems like that is always what I ask myself every morning. I used to wake up at 4:00 a.m. to study for my classes without any problem. Then after a few weeks, it was getting harder for me to get up at 4:00 a.m., so I switched to 5:00 a.m., but now getting up at 6:00 a.m. is hard. I used to wake up early to get Ryan’s breakfast and lunch ready, but now I couldn’t do that anymore.

I used to try to fix his lunch the night before, so it would be hard for me, but at the end of the day, I am so drained that I just want to lie down and sleep early. I don’t have the motivation to study as much as I used to either. My normal testosterone levels has gone downhill. I just want to be able to function again like I used to because it surely is not easy to have no energy and take care of a family, go to work, and keep up with school.

    Modeling The Hats

    Sunday, April 10, 2011

Papa, Frankie and I went to Target last Friday to get Ryan a father's day gift. After getting him a calendar with a picture of both of them together, we decided to walk around and also get Papa a pair of shorts. He got a gift card for having a new prescription at Target and he wanted it to use it. So while Papa was in the Men's department, Frankie and I were so busy playing with the hats. It so happened that I had the camera with me since I needed a picture of Ryan and Frankie together so I was able to get take some pictures. The first hat I placed on his head he didn't want to take it off. He was having a good time with it. When I grabbed the first one, he pointed for the next one and placed it on his head. We were being silly and was giggling while switching the hats. Just look at Frankie below.

    Experience

    Saturday, April 9, 2011

It seems like it was only yesterday when I gave birth to Frankie. I had a terrible time when I had him. After I went under emergency C-section, I developed a fever, so I was not able to see Frankie for another 24 hours even if I was feeling better before then. It was the hardest experience a new mother had to endure. I wanted to hold my son so bad, but I couldn’t because he was under observation too.

I was visited by different nurses with one of their medical computer carts to check on my progress every now and then. When I was finally feeling better and didn’t have the fever anymore, the nurses finally took Frankie to our room, but after 3 hours he was taken back because his X-ray came back positive. After all that bad experience, I am still thankful that our Frankie is well and healthy. Although it was such a painful incident, it was all worth it.

    Getting Old

It has been really beautiful the past few days. Frankie and I were able to enjoy the outdoors. I took him to his friend's house yesterday to play by the park right next to their house. I also wanted to interview the kids for my Ed. class for another paper to write. I was so pleased with the result and I am glad I found someone I could do this within the age range that I am supposed to do.

Anyways, I hope to be able to get things done the coming days. I have been so stressed lately that I feel like my body is about to shut down any time. I do not even know what I am stressed about. I have had worst school work to do before, but this time I feel my entire body shaking. I don't feel like I am about to get sick or something though. I feel like I am always tired all the time, but no matter what time I get to bed, I always wake up at the same time. I really don't understand. I am breaking out like crazy too. Hum... maybe I am just getting old.

    Cellulites

    Friday, April 8, 2011

It is supposed to be really warm this weekend. I really hope so. I am so sick and tired of this cold weather. We are already in the middle of April, and it still feels like early March outside. We still have our heater on because the weather is very unpredictable. Sometimes it is too warm and the next thing you know it is very cold again.

I love summer. I like wearing shorts and short-sleeve. The only problem I have is these cellulites around my thighs. It looks gross and when I walk they jiggle. Blame it to the constant sitting down in school and at home. I haven’t been mobile lately. I may have to check out cellulite treatments to help get rid of these cellulite. I will be the happiest person once summer is here.

Oh My! I Hit a Deer

Well the good thing is it is alive but Ryan's car which I used last night was dented and the grills on the left side fell off. It was only Janet and I who worked last night. It was only a take down so we were only there for 3 hours. The store is open until 11 p.m. in preparation for the 4th of July so there were still a lot of associates in the parking lot talking when Janet and I took off. I drove off before her and she was following after me. When all of the sudden out of the blue, a young deer came out of nowhere and went in front of me that I didn't have enough time to hit the break. I hit it and flew out in the air. I was going 30 mph so the impact wasn't that bad. I thought I killed it but it got up and ran away.

Janet drove right next to me to check how I was. I was in shocked and I am glad I didn't kill the thing. That's the first time I have seen a deer over by Kohl's since it has been developed and a little far from where the forest preserves are. I tried calling Ryan but he forgot to keep the phone in our room. I thought he will be mad but he said he is just glad that I am ok. He went out to check the damage and he told me we just have to live with it and see how much we are going to spend if we have it fixed. It was definitely scary and I hope it won't happen again to any of my co-workers. I think it was on it's way to 394 and got scared of the cars that it came back and that is how I hit it. I am safe and the air bags didn't go off which is good.

    Car Insurance

    Sunday, April 3, 2011

It was Frankie’s birthday last Saturday, and we all went out for dinner. I already got him an ice cream cake, so he just needed to blow his candle when we get home. On our way home, we stopped on a four way intersection when right before our eyes, a teenager talking on his cell phone blew the stop sign and run into the guy in a van that was crossing. I couldn’t believe what I saw. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Ryan ended up making a u-turn because they pretty much blocked the intersection.

The first thing that came up into my mind was I hope the teenager has car insurance since it was pretty much his fault. Besides, it has never been so easy to get affordable car insurance these days since you can get free auto policy quotes online without any hassle. You can start by going to Automobileinsurance.me. All you have to do is fill out the form to get going. You can find discount auto insurance that fits your budget so easily.

When I think of the accident yesterday, I couldn’t help but feel bad for the old man who was very careful with his driving but still ended up with a vehicular accident because of the other reckless driver. I am just thankful that nobody was hurt. To all drivers out there, make sure you are responsible enough to get yourself protected with a car insurance.

    Goodies!

Papa was supposed to work at Jenny's house today because he didn't have enough sleep last night. He said he's head was really hurting . He knows where everything is around the house but it was so painful he said that it kept him up until dawn. I got home around 11:30 p.m. and he was no longer in the kitchen watching TV Patrol. I know he was already in his room that I assume he was asleep. When Frankie and I got up around 8:30 a.m. I thought he was gone. Jenny normally picks him up around 7:30 a.m. but she was a little sick too that she was not able to call really early. So when we got out he was in the kitchen reading the paper. I called Jenny and told her that Papa can't make it today because he is extremely tired and didn't have enough sleep. She was very understanding and I am so glad for that.

I was out to do some projects again today. When I came home Ryan told me that Jenny called and she asked him to tell me to to call her back. So I did but nobody answered. We had dinner and she called again and I talked to her. She asked me if she can stop by because she have lots of clothes and shoes to give to Papa and Frankie. For Papa which is from her husband Adam who is about the same height with Papa and a little clothes from Kyle for Frankie. Kyle is a year older than Frankie but taller. Kyle's clothes fits Frankie perfectly because he is tall and also skinny. She also told me that she is not done sorting Kyle's clothes. I am so thankful because I don't have to worry about Frankie's fall and winter clothes as well as Papa. Papa was so funny because he doesn't even know where to put the winter clothes because there must be 30 tops for him. Ryan is also thankful.
