Linen

I am working tonight after almost a week of being gone. I actually like this once a week thing that I have. During my lunch, I have to start looking for nice linens there. The ones that have almost similar quality as of the matouk brand. I know nobody can be as nice as the matuok brand of linens, but I need something that is within my budget. We are in the process of rearranging and moving stuff around in the kitchen and in the living room, and I thought adding linens would make it a lot more inviting. We'll see!

HP

Dada and I will be off to see the movie HP as soon as he is done with his Financial Accounting. I, once again, was not in the mode to write my paper that is due on Tuesday. Sometimes, I need a little push to keep going. I had a terrible headache from coming late from work last night and got up early this morning. I had heard good reviews about the movie and hopefully, it is worth it. I can't wait to watch the new Narnia again this Christmas. I always enjoy watching movies with Dada. We are making most of our time because we won't be able to do much of this pretty soon. Even so, we would still be able to watch movies at the convenience of our home. It seems like Dada is almost done. Might as well get ready, so we could go.

Laptop

I love HP computers. My laptop is an HP and now I have the HP mini netbook. HP has not failed me after all these years of using their product. Ryan got me one of the hp mini laptops for my birthday a few years ago, and that is the laptop that I am handing down to my sisters in the Philippines. Their desktop computer broke, and hopefully, they will be able to get few years out of it. I just need to buy them a new battery, and it should work just like new. I couldn’t wait to see mama and my sisters again through the web cam. It has been a while.

Karaoke

I like this time of the year because it means gathering with my Filipina friends and family along with very good food and singing with the use of a karaoke machine. There is no party hosted by Filipinos without karaoke. It is usually the highlight of the party when every guest sings karaoke while others dance to the beat. I have wanted to get the magic sing or also known as the magic microphone where you can type in the number of the song and the lyrics appears on the TV screen. It is very neat. It is a little expensive though, and every time I save up for it, the money that I saved is always diverted to something. Maybe for Christmas, Santa will give me the microphone.

Off

In an hour, I will be getting ready to go to work. I am glad I am only working for 5 hours today. I am not feeling too well and wish I could call off, but I do not want to burn bridges. I will just go in and do what I have to do and come home. Tomorrow, Ryan and I will be going to the library again, but I am excited because we are going to watch Harry Potter during the night. I am not sure which theater, but I am sure it will be in Bradley. I am itching to watch since I knew that they are coming out. I really do not have that much to do for next week, but the paper in Health and that's about it. I have everything gathered, and I just need to sit down and write what I have to say and research to support what I said. I already got two, so all I need is three more. It should be fine then after that I can start doing my school project paper. I hope he will be a little nice with the grading this time.

Potholes

I had been to the journey of looking for an acne medication that works all my life. Since high school, I listened to people’s advice on what meds to take for acne because it worked for them. I get so excited every time I purchase one and would hope that it was going to be the last. Unfortunately, none of them worked for me. I get empty promises and ingredients like of epiduo that is very similar as the ones that are sold over the counter. I got tired of looking that I am not looking anymore. That is the same thing I told my sister about her acne. You get frustrated and tired that you will eventually give up and hope for a man that loves you for who you are and not leave you even if you have potholes in your face.

Experiment

I was so excited when our teacher started talking about calorie counting and label reading. I read in one of the articles I reviewed about fitness and health that watching your calorie is one of the most significance parts of weight loss. It doesn’t mean you have to starve yourself from calorie in take, but just the right calorie. Ryan lost 30 lbs. after a month when I did the calorie counting, but it did not last long and gained them all back again because I got really busy with school, work, and Frankie, and I was not able to keep track with him anymore. He also took some vitamins. We tried doing it again, and I did not know what happened this time because it did not work like the first time. He may need the aid of a best fat burner, right diet, and exercise to lose all the weight. It is too late to start now because of the holiday, but I will be experimenting again this January. I hope it will be successful this time.

Visit to the Doctor

I am so used to taking Papa and Frankie to their doctors that I forgot how it is to be the one under scrutiny. I have a lingering cough that started last Saturday. I hate taking medication, so I just let it be until I decided to see our doctor today. Thankfully I went because I have bronchitis now plus allergy, on top of the cough. I will be on antibiotics for two weeks just to heal up. I hope to feel better tomorrow because I have to work. It is so bad to be going in once a week and not show up. Plus, Dada throw out the number of my co-worker who I could call to work for me. Maybe, it is a good idea because I have been asking him too much. I hate this time of the year especially with the change of the season. I have a major headache right from my sinus. I need to take a lot of liquid and rest.

Accessories

My co-worker is confused what to get her father-in-law. I always have the same issue when it comes to my father-in-law because it seems like he has everything already, and he doesn’t need anything. Thankfully, my father-in-law is a handy man, and lately, Ryan and I have been giving him a gift card from the handy shop. Then, he could get whatever it is that he likes with the gift card. My co-worker’s father in law is not handy, but tech savvy. I suggested to her that maybe she could give him accessories for the latest gadget(s) he already have. She was very pleased to tell me that his wife just bought him an Apple Ipad for his birthday, so she is thinking of getting him Apple Ipad accessories. I am sure he will appreciate that for Christmas.

Falling Apart

Ryan and I agreed that if we are going to get a metal building such as a new garage, we need to get a good one that will last us long. We are not sure how long our garage is now, but it is falling apart. In fact, Ryan had to put a piece of wood on the right side just so the door won’t touch the ground. The door of the garage is not doing too well. I am afraid that one of these days, it will cave-in or drop in one of the cars as we are driving in. I hope it is not going to happen. It is so unsafe. We have been saving for it and other things for around the house, and hopefully, we can get rid of it soon and get new a new one that is of course within our budget.

Class

Tuesdays is my class in health, and although I did not like it in the beginning, I am starting to enjoy that class now. Our lesson is so informative. A few weeks back, we talked about stress, and how to manage and cope stress. She gave us different techniques and ways to choose to help combat stress. Our discussion last week was about staying fit. She recommended exercising at home or in a gym. There are people that needs an aid in their weight loss or staying fit and that is when they hire a personal trainer, dietician and to some take Lipofuze, a diet pill. It all depends on the body and of course the budget. Next week, she will teach us how to read labels and count calories. It might sound really easy but these are all new to me.

Math

I really did not have the time to prepare for our last exam of the semester in Math because I studied early that morning for the exam. When we talk about time, I really had a lot of time. Dada and I went to the library to study last Saturday. I started writing about my paper instead because I thought I will have a lot of time to study Math. I forgot that Monday I will be taking Frankie to see his doctor, and we did not get home late. I was so exhausted to do anything. Tuesday came and I did all my assignment for the Tuesday night's class. Around noon, Frankie came home and gave him a bath, and we took a nap. It was a very nice nap that I did not get up until 2:00 p.m. It was already 3:00 p.m. when I got to the library to study. I studied half of it and half in the morning the following day.

The exam was ok, and I know what to do and how to compute things. The problem that I had was he had so many of those tricky questions. Although it is multiple choice, but if you miss it, you miss it. With computations, he gives credit for trying that is what I like about this teacher. Hopefully I did well this time. If not, I tried!

Renovation

I am really hoping that we are going to finish all the things that need to be done in the living room before Frankie’s fourth birthday. There will be a few people that will be coming over at our house. We were not able to have Frankie’s birthday here in the US because we were in the Philippines on his third birthday. We did not have any party there. It was just with the family. It was Holy Week too.

We still have a lot of things to get for the living room. We plan to get a new couch and paint the walls. We will need new blinds & shades for the living and the kitchen. We have been saving for it and now just the time to make things work.

Outfit

One of the things I like when I am in school is looking at the student’s different urban clothing outfits. I really like how they mix and match their clothes and could come up with an outfit beautifully. I am the type of person that wears whatever is clean and what I see first, so I still have clothes that I have not wear for a long time because it is buried somewhere. My young sister however is just different. She plans out what she wears, and she always look great on the clothes she wears. I wish I have the time to plan out what I am going to wear. It would be really awesome.

Toy Story Marathan

I rented Toy Story 3 yesterday, and we all had a wonderful time watching it. It was a lot of suspense, and also a little emotional at the end when Andy had to give his toys away. I have seen the first toy story, but I never had the chance to watch the second one. Frankie had it in this room, so today, I finally decided to watch it. Frankie sat right next to me while eating the popcorn. We had a great time. The second one was as awesome as the first one and the third one. I may have to watch it again with him. I think we watched toy story 3 four times this morning. Frankie loved it so much. He may be buzz light year next year for Halloween. I may have to look around for a costume for him.
