    Life Insurance

    Saturday, October 31, 2009

I couldn’t begin to explain how important having insurance is . Whether it is a car insurance, house insurance, health insurance and even life insurance, it will surely save all of us in the long run. I would like to get Papa and myself a life insurance. With how life is these days, we don’t know what is going to happen and I want to be ready for it especially to the people that we will leave behind. I don't like so much hassle in getting one though. I want it guaranteed issue life insurance without any examinations or interviews. I better get going and start looking for one.

    Assistance

    Friday, October 23, 2009

It is so hard to be stuck on the road especially when you are away from home. This happened to my husband before. There was something wrong with his car and his cellphone was dead. Unfortunately, I didn’t know the location of where he was at. It was a Sunday and he tried so hard to call the towing company but he was told that they seldom service on Sundays. My husband was so disappointed because we paid for the service every month and now that we finally needed them, we didn’t get any help from them. They were supposed to service 24-7 but finding someone to pick up my husband on a Sunday after was impossible. It is so hard to find reliable motorhome towing service these days, if one is not careful. My husband had dropped that assistance and now currently looking for another one.

Change of Weather Makes Me Sick

It seems like all the people that I know are having sniffles. I have it too for the past few days and when I was getting ready to make an appointment with the doctor, he won't be in until Monday. It wouldn't be bad if it is just ordinary sniffles but I have a major headache sometimes because of my sinus. After class last night, I decided to stop by Target and get myself Sudafed PE. It seems to be working but after the medication wears out, I am back with the stuffy nose again. I hate this kind of weather because I remember having this all the time every time the weather changes. Good thing Frankie already have something for his cold and cough and I wish to have the same to get us through this winter. Papa seems to be catching that we are having.

    Options Open

We got a lot of letters today and one of them was for the house. Ryan and I contacted someone and asked them for an insurance quote for our house. We have decided to go with the insurance company where we are getting our car insurance. We should have done this sooner rather than going for different companies. I can’t believe the savings we will be enjoying in a year. It will be money that we can use for something else. We might be using the same company for my life insurance, but I still have my options open. I want to check online one more time before deciding to go with them again.

    Leaves Everywhere

    Sunday, October 18, 2009

Papa is out right now cleaning our front yard and the backyard from the fallen leaves. We have around four trees in our front and back yard and another five from our neighbors. In the previous years, we are very particular in cleaning our lawn right away but some of our neighbors trees’ leaves fall off late and it all fall on our yard. I don’t know how many times Papa has been out there lately sweeping the leaves. He thinks of it as an exercise too. He surely doesn’t need any diet pills because he is always on the go but people like me can really use one. I can’t wait for summer again so that we don’t have to deal with any fallen leaves and the cold.

    Another Day Another A

It wasn't my weekend off when we were going to have our midterm in school. Unfortunately, one of our teacher did not show up, so all the paper works that was supposed to be submitted that day was moved to the midterm week including the quiz. It wouldn't be that bad if I have them all done but I wasn't able to. I had 13 chapters for one class and 5 chapters for another with 40 pages long each chapter. I didn't know where to get the time to read and study. I tried to read during my lunch breaks at work and try to remember/review them in my head as I go back working. When I got home, I hurriedly eat and dress up so that Frankie and I can study in his room. It worked out really good and since I don't work early for work, it just worked out fine.

Thankfully, all my hard work paid off. Last week was the first week after midterm and our teachers gave us back all the papers and I got perfect in two of my classes then in my other class I got an A because I only scored 91 over 100. It is more than enough to me. Dorothy my seat mate said her philosophy is "Another day, another A" and I think I am going to copy that.

Getting Rid of the Belly Fat

    Monday, October 12, 2009

I have recently got something in the mail that I was supposed to be testing for weeks. I waited till mid-term is done. I started using it last week and I can feel the big change in my body already. I don’t see that much of a change yet because its only been in the first week but I have so much energy and I feel good. I even feel good waking up in the morning. I think I am in the right track. My target is to get rid of this belly fat. All I need to do is control the amount of food I eat. Yes, I eat a lot especially when it is Ryan or Papa that does the cooking. Hopefully, I will be able to achieve my pre-pregnancy weight before I go home next year.

    Retirement

    Sunday, October 11, 2009

Ryan and I still have 35 years till retirement. Although we still have a long way to go, we are trying to be ready for it. We both have 401K in each of our jobs and have set aside a little amount every month. We would like to enjoy each other stress free. Frankie will probably be married by then with his own family. Hopefully, Ryan and I will be as healthy as we can be but if not then we can take advantage of the social security disability. It might not be much but it will be a great help for retired folks.

    An Angel On Earth

    Thursday, October 8, 2009

Most of you know that we can't find any insurance to cover Papa. We tried everything but all of them has a requirement that he has to be at least a resident of the US for 2 years. Blue Cross and Blue Shield was the only place who would have required six months but they rejected him. Anyways, Ryan and I still wanted Papa to go with the blood test. Papa's Dr. also told us that it is a good idea because he can give him some vitamins or preventive medications. Finally after over a month of putting it off because of my change of schedule and also little time that I had, we finally went today. We went see his doctor first then he was sent to get his blood test. The lady that was about to work with him thought that the payment that we were going to shed was just too much. It was $300.00. She asked me if I was willing to pay for it and I said yes if it had to be done. She went to see Papa's doctor again to double check and he said, so it won't be too much for us, the doctor's visit will be free.

Also, instead of having to check for the prostate cancer he decided to change it and we just need to pay $170.00. He is such an amazing doctor. He was very thorough with papa and he didn't charge a dime. He will be blessed with more. He is such an angel. He has been charging papa only $25.00 for the visit because he knows that he doesn't have insurance. If it would have been other doctors, we could have been charged an arm and a leg.
