    Trying

    Sunday, April 26, 2009

Since Ryan and I have decided that we are going home next year (pohon), he also decided that he needs to lose weight. I know we have been trying to do it but we completely stopped and now we found a motivation to keep going. I admit that Ryan and I have gained so much weight from the 6 years of marriage. Ryan already know how hot it can be in the Philippines and he doesn't want to be in misery while over there. For the past days he has been telling me that he needs to wake up at 5:00 a.m. so that he can run then relax for a little bit, take a shower then eat breakfast and leave for work. I sound like an unsupportive wife but all I said is "Good Luck with that Da". There are so many attempts that he made before but later stopped so this time I wasn't expecting anything.

Well early Saturday morning, I was so surprised to see him in the bedroom with his running attire. He woke me up telling me that he will wake me up later to go somewhere at 8:00 (it was 6:00 then). He has his shorts on and the mini disk with him. He said he was going to run. I thought he was joking but when I saw him came back all sweaty and his shirt all wet after 30 minutes, I was convinced. It was even funny how he didn't want to eat anything junky for the rest of the day because he said he made so much effort to run for 30 minutes to lose some calories and have to just gain them back. Early today (Sunday) he ran again for 30 minutes and hopefully it will keep on going on even if he has to work OT next week. After he got off the treadmill I was so inspired to run so I did. I only lasted 10 minutes (what a shame). Good thing we have the mini disk that Ryan created and put together the dance songs that we liked.

We also got dance revo last night. It was so cheap and I have been wanting to have one even when I was in the Philippines. I like dancing with it and it should be another way to lose weight. Ryan and I still have 11 months to do this before we go home. I am looking forward and I hope I won't be too lazy to put together a salad in every meal for all of us. Wish us luck.

    Free Insurance Quotes

    Saturday, April 18, 2009

We recently got a call from this guy telling us that we can save on our insurance if we put together our car and home insurance through them. I really don’t like to go on something that I don’t know much. I also don’t believe in every message that I get from the phone. Ryan and I want to switch our car insurance this October and we hope to find and get a discount for the 3 cars. We can’t do it right now because we are still waiting for the premium for the house to expire. We want to put them together in one insurance company so that we can hopefully save more.

I have already started using Insurancequotesus.com to get free insurance quotes and be able to compare so that Ryan and I can decide for which company to go for. I really liked using Insurancequotesus.com because not only that I am able to get the quote but they also have suggestions on how to save and when to buy your next insurance. I hope to decide something soon so that we will be done with it.

    Looking Like Tatay

    Friday, April 17, 2009

Papa uses this towel around his head when he is outside to keep the sweat from going to his face and it so funny how Frankie would like it placed on his head too. Once he has it on, he won't let anyone catch him and touch it. He will kept running around the house because he thinks we are after his towel. What a silly kid. We were out the entire time earlier when I got home from work. I gave him a bath and he was all ready and looking so cute. Hopefully we can start putting up the movable fence that Papa and I are planning to put up so that we don't have to worry about him when he is outside. Of course we will still be watching him but not every single minute. He likes taking his toys to the street. So we have to watch every move he makes. Ryan volunteered that he will pay for it but I said I can use my paypal. If he ask again then I am not going to argue.

    Replacement Light Bulbs

    Thursday, April 16, 2009

Frankie will need another set of nightlight bulbs soon. We are using the very last one right now and hopefully it won’t give up on us. It surely helps having a nightlight in case we need to check on him overnight. I have been to the store for so many times but I kept on forgetting to get one for him and if I get one I kept bringing home the wrong size. Thankfully the internet is such a great help because I can now order light bulbs through Elightbulbs.com. They even have Sylvania light bulbs also for sale. All you have to do is search for the light bulb that you need and check out.

Do you remember before when one or a couple of your Christmas lights went out? I used to just throw the entire Christmas light but now you can get replacement bulbs. It will surely help you save money.

    Sore

I can't believe how sore I am. I felt like I ran in a marathon or something when I woke up this morning. I went to my on call part time job for the first time and everything went well. I have always like doing planograms it is very challenging and exciting for me. It allows me to think and to figure things out. Just like putting together a puzzle. My brain did surely had an exercise yesterday. I met a lot of wonderful ladies and most of them are team leaders in their territories. It was so funny how they were arguing on who should get me to be on board their team. Each of them will ask our DM if they can have me in their team. The other lady which I worked with and I like, her territory is in Indiana and I told her that there are only certain parts of Indiana that I am willing to drive. Then the other lady is within where I live. She is also nice. She asked me if I could stay because there were still a lot of projects to do but after 5:00 p.m. I told her I need to leave because I need to work at 8:00 p.m. and I want to sit down and relax for a little bit. I wasn't even able to take a nap. It was a long day but glad that I have a lot of things accomplished. It might not be with my blogs but with my life hehe...

    Learn More About Mesothelioma

    Tuesday, April 14, 2009

It always worries me when I hear a relative who passed away because of cancer. It makes me wonder if it is going to happen to me or to someone who is very close to me. Not too long ago my Aunt died with cervical cancer then another Aunt died with breast cancer. I really hope that would be it. One thing that concerns me too is mesothelioma. Although it rarely happens but once you get it, it takes a lot of patience and treatment. I get most of the information about Mesothelioma from Mesothelioma-data.com. They have all the information you can find regarding this killer cancer. You should check them out too.

    Dr B.

    Monday, April 13, 2009

I took Papa to see Dr. B again for his check up. A month ago, he was having a hard time because he's blood pressure was so high. He doubled Papa's dosage. He felt better for a little bit but sometimes get dizzy when he gets up. Two weeks before we will see Dr. B again he came up to me and said he needs to change the way he eats. The medications will be useless if there is no discipline with his diet. I was so surprised with his determination and for only 2 weeks, he lost 15 lbs when they weigh him again at the doctor's office. We didn't stay long this time because when they checked his blood pressure it was normal. Do you want to know how much he charged us for this visit? It was only $20.00. How considerate of him. I am so pleased and Papa has been eating salad twice a day and some fruits during snacks. I was thinking of incorporating Ryan with his diet since he was been wanting to lose weight for his future plans. Well I hope he stick to it this time or I stick to it this time since I will be preparing his meals. We did good before but I went astray .

    Go Airlink NYC

    Wednesday, April 8, 2009

Planning for a vacation can be intimidating especially when you are not familiar with the place that you intend to spend your time with. Let’s say for example, you want to take your family to New York City. If you are coming from another country or even out of state, chances are you are going to fly but the question is who is going to pick you up at the airport especially when you don’t know anybody in New York. Who is going to take you and your family to your hotel or to different places? Well if that are the questions that is keeping you from booking a trip/vacation to New York then why don’t you take advantage of the Car Service NYC.

GO Airlink NYC gives you the peace of mind because of their affordable transportation services that they offer throughout New York City and other surrounding suburbs. All you have to do is go online at Goairlinknyc.com to check out their transportation rates. Once you have decided you can now book a ride online. You don’t have to worry because they are always on time in picking you up at the airport. They also provide great customer service assistance in case you need help while in the airport. Now that you know that your transportation has been taken cared for, you can now enjoy other things that New York City has to offer.

    Winter Coat

I hope this will be the last time that I will see Frankie with a winter coat on. We couldn't find his winter hat (it was all in my car) so Papa put this hat on. It only stayed for less than 2 minutes of course but when we were out he wasn't wearing anything anymore. We went to Kohl's to get 3 more pairs of dressy pants for work. I only have 3 for Kohl's and I don't have any for the other one. I also picked some more underwear for Papa and a couple of outfit for Frankie. Ryan and I agreed not to get each other anything for valentines day because we were going on a trip anyways but when we got back home he gave me the go signal to get clothes which I consider his anniversary gift.

In a little bit I will be taking Papa to see Dr. B again. He has been watching what he eats. Most of the time he only eats salad especially now that he can't do anything outside yet because it is still cold. I also make it a point that every time we go out, I always order a salad for him. Hopefully everything is ok when we see Dr. B. It has been a month since we last seen him.

    Loving The Schedule

    Tuesday, April 7, 2009

I didn't feel like writing any of my pending tasks last night so I searched the internet for things that Frankie can do this summer. I checked out the aqua center here for their swimming summer lesson schedules but they won't be up until May but I found a lot of activities that Frankie can do. What I also like is with the part time jobs I have right now, I can always make time for Frankie and I can drop him off myself. Today I worked for nms and I didn't leave until 12:00 noon. I made sure that he already ate lunch and gave him a bath before I left. I got home around 4:30 p.m. and had nap with him. Tomorrow I told Ryan that I won't be doing any of my pending tasks with him because I need to take Papa to his doctor for the follow-up. I have until Friday to do it anyway. I am just glad that though I am working I can still do stuff with Frankie and Papa. I was getting worried that I might get a full time job which means I will have a steady schedule and will find time to take Papa to his doctor or Frankie somewhere. I am glad it worked out perfectly.

    Get-away

    Sunday, April 5, 2009

I must have gained another 5 lbs. from our Wisconsin Dells trip to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. It seems like all we did was go to places and eat in a sit down restaurant or stop by a drive thru to get something. In short, all we did was eat, eat and eat that I was thinking, I might need a diet pill. The weather up there was also on our favor so it gave us a chance to explore the outdoor, the museums and the trip back and forth to the different stores that they have. It was a lot of fun and hopefully we can go somewhere again soon.

    Invited

We are all invited to celebrate Easter at Noelle's mom in Chicago this coming Sunday and I am looking forward to it. It is always nice to celebrate different occasions with her family. Easter is also the 60th birthday of Papa and it is nice to be able to celebrate it with a lot of people considering that last year, there were a lot of people with him. I guess I don't want him to miss our family back home because I felt the same way when I celebrated my first birthday here. Also, I haven't seen Noelle since Papa's welcome party and haven't talk to her in a long time. I do miss her and I can't wait to see her and grandma and the rest of the family this Sunday.

    Alexander Wang Shorts

    Thursday, April 2, 2009

I still wear junior sized clothes. I kept convincing myself that I am not that big yet. There are some junior seized clothes that run a little big too. I remember when I first got here in the US, I was only size 0. Every now and then I like shopping at the juniors department because they have cuter display of clothes than the misses section of the store. The last time I went shopping, the capris, skirts and shorts are already out ready for spring and summer. Gone are the days when I actually looked nice wearing a mini skirt but I still like wearing shorts though and I found one that is so unique and cute from Stylehive.com. It is the gorgeous black Alexander Wang shorts that is made of 49% wool and 49% viscose.

It is a wrap around short that you can tie on the side that makes it look so cute. It can be worn while shopping or going for a walk on the beach. A sandal and a white tank top will also look good with it. I think white and black together looks so neat, simple yet elegant. So if you are looking for fashion suggestions then stop browsing the internet but instead browse at Stylehive.com. Membership is free.

    So Exhausted

    Wednesday, April 1, 2009

I have a pile of clothes ready to be ironed right now. Thankfully I was able to catch all my writing deadlines so I don't have to worry about it when we are out on a mini vacation. Well I have two that I reserved that I hopefully will be able to write if I still have the strength after ironing. I will be watching a movie online while ironing so to keep me busy. I haven't packed yet. I don't know when to squeeze that in. I still have one store to do tomorrow for NMS and hopefully I finish early. Then I still have to send money to the Philippines tomorrow too. Wahhhh... I better start ironing so that I can write later.
