If you have been a constant follower of this blog or any of my blogs, I have mentioned so many times before that I really want to buy a nice grill but every time I try to save for it, something always comes up. Either here but most of the time in the Philippines. I know, why would I be excited with just a grill, right? Well it is something that I really want even when we still lived with Dad. When I wanted one Ryan got me one but it was really tiny because we didn't have the space to put it away. It was charcoal that grilling something using it takes forever. I remember we only used it just once. Anyways, I helped Ryan with his stores last Monday and Tuesday without expecting any pay. I know exactly what to do because I have done it before as a part time job. After servicing Matteson, I took Ryan to the garden section of the store. I remember seeing an expensive three burner gas grill in one of the endcaps when I was shopping with Frankie and Papa last week. When we went there it was already 50% off from the original price. There were two boxes. The other one already opened while the other is still intact and unopened. So I took Ryan there just to show him the grill. I wasn't expecting him to react about it, I was just showing it to him when he immediately said, this is really nice for this price and that we will get it tomorrow. My eyes grew really really big and I was sooooo happy. Finally we can cook out in our backyard this summer. I insisted of buying it that night but we only took the small car and he wanted to dine out somewhere for dinner so the store might be close by the time we get back to get it. It was already clearance so we are not able to hold it either. Ryan and I agreed that he will pick me up earlier today so that we can take the van to pick up the grill.
I was so scared that it won't be there when we go pick it up. I told Ryan that I am going to cry if it is all gone hehehe. Good thing when I showed it to him yesterday, there was another grill that was exactly the same in another shelf but they missed marking it. So it appears like the ticket was only 15% off the original price. When we walked in Target, Ryan saw someone with the grill going to the register. I was so scared that it was all gone. When we got there, the two grills that were in the endcap were already gone but the one across it on a shelf was still there. Ryan made sure that we are going to have the right price and we did. The pricing peps just forgot to ticket it. I was so happy when Ryan finally put it in the van. During the summer I can now cook dried fish outside. I am glad I found it. Ryan said it was my reward for helping him and although I didn't expect anything, at any rate it was a very nice gesture. I/we finally have a grill. Yehey!
Finally... Yehey!!!

Smart Girls at the Party
Tuesday, January 27, 2009
One of the reasons why I chose to become a teacher was because I want to be a part of a very vital development among children. I just love being with children. They have so much energy and so much fun to be with. That is also the reason why I like shows that cater to children’s talents and their potentials but I haven’t really seen much of those shows until recently when I came across Amy Poehler CozmoTV’s Smart Girls at the Party.
What I like about the show is they feature extraordinary girls by showing off their talents and skills. I also like Amy Poehler’s humor during the show. In the episode above, they have Kenaudra who shared her talent with Praise dancing and as well as playing a very unique instrument. I really enjoyed watching the widget. So if you want to share it to your readers you can easily get your own widget here and add it in your blog, in your myspace, facebook or any other social media network. You can also check out different episodes of Smart Girls at the Party by clicking videos on the top right corner of the widget. Browse to their gallery with featured widgets, related widgets as well as favorite widgets. Share the widget that showcases very talented individuals.

A Long And Busy Week
Monday, January 26, 2009
It will be a different week for me this week from the ordinary. Aside from working 3 days from Kohl's I will be working side by side with Ryan for 3 days. It is not only helping but I will also be paid per hour for doing so. He has 3 stores to be doing the reset and he asked me if I wanted to come with him and without hesitation I said yes. It is better than staying home doing nothing. Ryan tried to work around my schedule since we can do the reset at any time. So today- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday I will be with the reset while the rest of the day I will be with Kohl's. RMS is paying considerately a good amount so I want to go and this is different from Ryan too. He will be picking me up after work.
Next week will be another story. I have 4 days for Kohl's and since they asked me if I could work overnight I said yes. So next week Thursday I will be coming in for ad set and will be staying for the reset in shoes. I hope I will be ok but as long as I have coffee with me then I should be alright. Besides I will have sleep when I get home unlike before. I like keeping myself busy for the days seems to go really fast.

Accounting
Wednesday, January 21, 2009
I should have listened to my father when he suggested to me to take accounting in college. I was set to take accounting but when I went to take a scholarship and be a working student (work in the library during the day and go to school at night) they didn’t offer accounting as part of the courses that they offered for the working students. My parents couldn’t afford to send me to take accounting so I chose to take education in a different university instead. I don’t regret taking education because that was the only thing that we can afford then but I hope someday I can finish a degree with accounting. As my father always told me, I can always go back to school when I graduate as a teacher and that is also exactly what my eldest brother did.
Although the economy hasn’t been the greatest lately but there are still accounting and investment banker jobs out there. By adding the keywords and your location at Financialjobbank.com you will find job postings and listings. You even have the option to post your resume for potential employers to find you. In these tough times, it is very important to have your education.

Frankie, Hats and Schedule
Frankie loves wearing almost every hat that he can find most especially when it is not his. I don't know but it is always nice when it is not his. The picture above was my beret and the one below is Papa's hat that I got for him that was also exactly like Grandpa Calvert. Just look at the beautiful smile.
Anyways, I am really thankful that I am still getting 3 days a week from work. It is normal that after the holiday we are not going to have that much sales and since I am with the ad set team, it only means we are not going to work. Sometimes I get so excited when I know that there is one day a week (which was 2 weeks ago) but I really need the money. Although we haven't buy Papa his insurance yet because of the waiting period but the Philippines can really use them. My little sissy already reminded me about her up coming mid-term exam which of course will cost me a lot but as long she is doing good so I am fine with it. The next up coming weeks, I was still blessed with 3 days a week while the rest of the team are only getting one or two. There are times that we only have to do the take down and with that I am always the person scheduled. So hopefully the schedule stays the same.

Shopwiki.com
Tuesday, January 20, 2009
Don’t you just love staying home and go shopping online? It surely cuts your travel time as well as gas and the hassle from going from one store to the other to hunt for bargains. The down side of going outside is there is no guarantee that the store you will be going has the product you are
looking for that is on sale but if you don’t know where to go online either, you will also have a hard time looking for bargains. Just for example, about 5 minutes ago, I searched for an iPod online using a very popular search engine and it came back with 373,000,000 results. Who has the time to go through each of them to find great deals anyway? Well there is one solution. Let me introduce to you Shopwiki.com. What makes Shopwiki.com very special? They are just like your major search engine but the only difference is it helps you find anything and everything that is on sale which results will show in one place, complete with the lists of stores, their prices, reviews and video reviews and more.
Another thing that I really liked with Shopwiki is they offer detailed information about what you are looking for and in my case it’s iPod and the different kinds of iPod. They also have a list of iPod Apple accessories and other related products that you might find interesting. Shopwiki is surely your iPod Buying Guide.

Putting It Off
Friday, January 16, 2009
What is wrong with moi? Could it be that I am burnt out with blogging? One of the reasons why Ryan wants me to get a part time job is so that I can stop paid blogging. I tried to cut it down when I did but I tried to maintain PayU2blog because I don't feel the pressure from them at all. Well for the past few days I have reserved some opps but the moment I put Frankie to sleep, I just don't feel like getting up anymore. My chat mate Recel still buzzes me every once in a while and I reserve them but too lazy to write them. Today another one expires on me again which by the way I have reserved twice. What am I doing? Talking with Papa, watching movies with both of them and doing some stuff around the house. It is basically doing something productive. I really need to pull myself out of this hole because I feel sorry for the amount that I could have earned but didn't want to write. I just like to update and that is about it. Sometimes, it seems like the 20o words gets me and I keep putting it off until I am off to bed. This week alone, I could have 8 paid posts if I only wrote them but no I didn't, I went to bed instead.

Eating Out
Last Wednesday, Ryan, Papa, Frankie and I went out for dinner. It was nothing fancy but the closest we can think of was OCB. I wanted to go to the Chinese restaurant but it was too far from where we are so we decided to eat at Tinley Park. It always amazes me to see how other people eat. Some are not even seated yet and hasn’t taken off their coat yet, they go straight to the buffet display, get their food, start eating while walking and at the same time look for a table. That is why I don’t blame them if they will need the best fat burner any time soon. I have always respected those who are overweight because there are a lot of reasons why a person can gain weight but I just can’t help to notice that when we go out to eat.

Ging-ging, ER and the Corpse
Wednesday, January 14, 2009
The first week of January, Ging-ging was assigned at the Vicento Sotto Hospital's emergency room. It was very exciting she said but the patients coming in and out from the emergency room were just a lot. Vicente Sotto is a public hospital and a lot of bloody patients are coming in and out every single day. In the beginning she was a little shocked. She just came from the holiday and she was always assigned at the maternity section, so it was different for her. She eventually got used to it but every time she comes home from the hospital she has to take take a bath.
Well, it didn't end there. The following week, they were supposed to wrap a corpse as part of their training. Well she did. There was this lady who the kids already signed a consent to pull her life support. Before the patient was in that state she already decided to have her life support pulled so her kids was just carrying out her wishes. She didn't tell me who took the life support off but she told me that they were the one who prepped her for the morgue. She said they have to tie something around her face because the mouth has the tendency to open when being worked at the morgue. It surely was an experience for her that she will never forget. Mama said she was expecting Ging-ging to lose her appetite but she was ok. That was her first time dealing with a dead person instead of trying to save someone else's life.

Getting High Tech
Wednesday, January 7, 2009
Mama and where my brother lives are miles and miles away. It is very seldom that mama gets to visit Dan-dan because the fare can be very much. Since I requested my brother to get his own high speed internet they have now seen each other via web cam and they also do voice chat. Aren't they very high tech? Yeah walay plete but they have been in touch using the internet. I asked my brother to upgrade because I didn't want Dan-dan to forget his Tatay. Although the only time they can see each other is on Saturdays but once a week is better than nothing. I really need to teach Papa how to do around the computer because I work on Saturdays and that is the only time they can talk. I am sure Papa misses Dan-dan too but as long as the internet is there, I am sure they will be able to see each other as often as they like.

Cheap Car Insurance
Tuesday, January 6, 2009
When I first got here, my father in law immediately wanted me to learn how to drive. It was so much hassle then because I already started working and Dad had to take me to work and then Ryan picks me up from work. Dad was also the one taught me how to drive. I learned a lot from him. I used to hate every time Ryan teaches me because his left hand was always in the emergency break and by him doing that freaks me out even more. When I finally got my license I was nervous yet very excited. Being able to drive means the freedom to go places you want to go without having to depend on anybody to drive you around. Although I only go out when necessary but the thought that I can go anytime is what I like. With driving comes the need for a car insurance and would you believe that you can now buy cheap car insurance online? I thought you can only buy car insurance through an agent but not anymore with onlineautoinsurance.com. What is even better is you can get quotes and compare to get that car insurance that is within your budget. All you have to do it enter your zip code to get started.

Clinic
Monday, January 5, 2009
We managed to get to the clinic in Harvey out and safe. I was a little hesitant to which building it is since it was already dark when Ryan and drove up there. There was so much traffic so I got a little confused. We were 15 minutes early but nobody was there so they attend to Papa right away. They asked for an ID and Papa gave them his driver's license in the Philippines. They also gave him a skin test and they took his chest x-ray. After two minutes the x-ray result was clear so they let him go. We will be back again this Thursday for the skin test result and next Wednesday to see the doctor. Thankfully it is all free. We live in Cook county so we get to enjoy such privileges.

Move Dancewear
Friday, January 2, 2009
I envy those who can dance gracefully. I wished I had the same talent. When I was teaching back home, I used to tutor a little girl who took ballet lessons and every now and then her parents would take me to watch her in her dance recital. I just love watching them dance and looking at the dancer’s gymnastics leotards which by the way, I think were so cute. I really thought that getting one of those gymnastic leotards is so hard to find but that was before I found out what www.movedancewear.com.uk has to offer.
Do you know what I like about them? Their website is so easy to navigate and finding for that dance wear and dance shoes that you need has never been so easy. In fact they even carry jazz shoes and sneakers, ballroom, Latin & Salsa dance shoes and many more. Every dance shoes is pictured, showing the details of each shoes to make you aware of what you are getting. So what are you waiting for? You can shop by brands or browse by category to get started. You can even sign up for their newsletter to get deals right at your inbox. So the next time you need a dance shoes or dancewear don’t forget to visit www.movedancewear.com.uk.
