I met Laura when I started working at Prism a few months ago. I have heard about her from some of my co-workers and I never knew that when we meet, we are going to be instant friends. She is the most lovable grandma to her grand kids. I enjoy working with her. Every time I get my schedule every week, she is the first person I look for to see if she will be working with me. If you look at her, she is so full of life and energy. She gives me so much hope and determination in life because of her attitude. If you don't know her you probably think that she is just some ordinary lady but nope, she has Multiple sclerosis, the same sickness that took my mother in law away. The way she handles her sickness and the attitude she puts to it is just amazing. Here I am complaining about life sometimes and there she is making most out of it. When we work together I always remind her about taking her medications. She gets into what she is doing that sometimes she forgets. I know exactly the times that she has to take her meds.
If I was in her situation, I don't know if I will be able to have the same outlook in life. When I feel down and sad I just think of her and things get better. Sometimes I think life can be unfair. They could have given that sickness to someone who is really bad and mean ( I know a lot of those kind of people) but why to someone everybody loves. Life can be unfair sometimes.
