Mass
Ryan and I went to St. Liborious again this past weekend. We left Frankie and Papa at home since Papa will be going to church on Sunday. As usual there were quiet a lot of people there. The older couple that was seated in front of us had a pack of wet ones with her. I was a little worried how it is going to be during the “peace be with you” part because I know a lot of people are panicking with the swine flu. I don’t blame them though but I just hope they won’t take it to the extreme. I don’t know if I would be thankful or not but the priest skipped the “peace be with you” part and went on. Ryan and I just looked at each other, shook each other’s hand and kissed. I know it has been a part of the service since I can remember but somehow I felt relieved because I don’t know what would I do if I give my hand out to someone and they will refuse. They have also taken the giving out of the wine during holy communion.
The more I go to St. Liborious, the more I appreciate how it looked so much like the Philippines. The set up, almost everything. I am glad that we have decided to go there from now on.
