Ouch!!!
Can someone pinch me? I still can’t believe how low the dollar is against the peso. I was thinking of sending money to the Philippines yesterday but when I checked it was 39.75 vs. the dollar. I can’t believe it. Nothing seems to change according to mama and everything are still so expensive. What is the use of those people who left there families to work abroad hoping to provide a better future for their children? That is what Papa said that a lot of people were complaining that those who are working abroad should have a different exchange rate than those who are tourists because obviously they have money to burn. I told him but it doesn’t work like that. It is really ouchy! I remember when I first got here sending a hundred dollars can already make a huge difference. The dollar then was $56.00. Gone were the days I guess huh?
