I have been waiting got my Papa’s receipt notice. For those who are not familiar with the process, when you submit any application may it be for your adjustment of status, citizenship or you are petitioning a relative as soon as they get your package and cash the check they will issue you with a case number and send you a receipt notice. It has been over 6 months since I sent our application and they have already cash the check in August but we still didn’t get any receipt notice. I have been thinking about it lately but Ryan kept insisted to give them a call. I did and it said there that because of the massive application they got prior to the fee increase, the receipt notice will be delayed to up to 15 weeks and it has been over that. I was going to give up but Ryan kept telling me to talk to a live person so I did. It turn out ok so she requested to generate another receipt notice for me. She also suggested to get a copy of the back of the check that we sent them because there is the case number stamped on it. We went to the bank earlier and yes it was there and to our surprise it was from California service center. We submitted it to Nebraska. They must be backed up that is why they forwarded it to California. I heard they are not the greatest. I never have any problem with Nebraska. So we’ll see. At least finally I have his case number that I can just check online. I can’t wait when he can join us here. Has anyone gone through the California Service Center?
