    Death Note In Select Theaters

    Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Have you heard of the best selling manga (Japanese word for comic) turned into a movie? Well to those who have read the manga, DeathNote then I am sure you will be looking forward to the movie.

    Unknown
To those who are not familiar of the story it starts with a brilliant student name Light Yagami who found the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god named Ryuk that grants him the power to kill anyone by writing the name in it. Is Light going to use it for his own benefit? Then you have to find out for yourself. Take advantage of the two day Death Note movie showing in select theaters on May 20 and May 21st. Get your tickets now by adding your zip code and the date you wish to watch it in the find theaters on the right side of the page.

Having supernatural powers seem cool to have but I wouldn’t even wish to have one. It just makes life complicated. So if you like an investigative and supernatural type of movie then this one is for you.

    Rocking Chair

Frankie has outgrown his fascination with the couch because now he doesn't even stay in there as much. Sometimes I try to put him on there but the next time I check he is down on the floor. He loves being on the rocking chair though. He gets up there in an instant and liked rocking it. I just don't like it when he sit on the arm of the chair but I told him if he kept doing it, he will eventually fall off. He hasn't fall off yet that is why I put him down right away. I hope he will get over this feeling of liking the rocking chair.

    Prepared To Be Scared

Horror movies have been a significant part of the entertainment industry. A lot of people enjoy watching horror, scary and even gory movies and I am one of them. One of the scary/horror movies that everybody is looking forward to is Frontier(s). What I love about Frontier(s) is the controversy behind it. You see, Frontier(s) got a NC-17 rating for extreme sadistic gore and violence. They have the option to edit the film but they didn’t even think twice but rather they decided to show Frontier(s) to the public for one week uncut, uncensored and with all the good stuff. Not all uncut and uncensored movies make it to public viewing but Frontier(s) did. Did I make you excited to watch it now? Then go ahead and check the select theater listings and see if you have one near you. It will start on May 9th and run for a week. If you can’t make it in the theaters then expect the release of their DVD on May 13. In fact I have already reserved a copy of it. I want to watch it with my husband. So if you are up for a horror movie, then sit back, relax and prepare to be scared. Don’t forget the popcorn.

    Toothbrush

We finally bought Frankie his 5th toothbrush because the one he had was all dirty from putting it inside the VHS player. It is amazing how many he has used already. Well the ones before is more of my fault because when he was younger I always check and feel if the bristles are not too stiff and hard for his gums and little teeth. Although his toothbrushes are age appropriate but I feel that it is too hard for him so I go out and buy another one. He seems to be liking this one toothbrush and I hope we don't have to buy so soon.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I was in Elementary when my father told me about the three Indiana Jones movies and how good it were. Even when I was younger I have always been fascinated with history and adventure that is why when I first watched the 3 Indiana Jones movies I was thrilled. I am also very excited with the fourth one coming up on Ryan's birthday. He already asked me if he can go watch it that day but he may have to go alone because I don't want to leave Frankie with anyone. I told him that I can always watch it with Papa when he gets here since I am sure he would love to watch it too. Here is the plot of the movie.

Producer Frank Marshall has confirmed that the film is set in 1957, making it nineteen years since Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, thus acknowledging the real-life passing of years between films. Indiana Jones is having a quiet life teaching before being thrust back into his old adventuring ways. He battles agents of the Soviet Union for the crystal skull. "The theory is they are shaped by higher powers or alien powers or came from another world, or an ancient Mayan civilization had the powers," Marshall explained. Indy's journey takes him across New Mexico, Connecticut, Mexico City, and the jungles of Peru, as well as the warehouse from the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. There will be mild humor regarding Indiana's age.

Some plot details have since been released on the official website of the film and in a new trailer also to be found on the site. The film opens with an action sequence pitting Jones and his new sidekick Mac (Ray Winstone) against Soviet Agents in the Southwestern desert. They escape and return to Marshall College where Indy encounters young renegade Mutt Williams (Shia LaBeouf) who needs Dr. Jones's help in finding the mysterious Crystal Skull of Akator. Legend supposes the skull was stolen from a mysterious City of Gold guarded by the living dead in the Amazon. Whoever returns it to the city's temple will become master of the Skull's powers. Together they travel to Peru where they find themselves battling the Soviets under nefarious Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett) again, who wants the power of the skull as an advantage in the Cold War.

    What's With The Kid?

The three of us finally went, got some groceries and decided to stop by the mall while Ryan returns something. Most of the time, Frankie is always so happy to be around other kids and he is so friendly. He hasn't hit or push any kids at all. Ryan left us in the play area while I let Frankie run around. The moment he reached the center of the play area a kid about probably his age ran as fast as he could towards Frankie and immediately pushed him. Poor Frankie dropped on the floor and was pouting his lips walking towards me as I was walking towards him too. The father of the kid picked him up and brought him back to where he was sitting. I thought the boy will stop this time but when I let Frankie play again, the moment he got away from his father he ran towards Frankie and pushed him while Frankie was walking. He pushed him 3 times but Frankie managed to walk away from him without falling down the floor. I immediately scope him up and give him a kiss. The rest of the mothers were looking at me feeling sorry for Frankie. I later called Ryan to come and pick us up because he wasn't up to play anymore because he was afraid of the other kid. Ryan was wondering where did that kid as small as Frankie got that attitude and learn to be a bully.

I have a co-worker before who her daughter always takes her to a vacation in either Jamaica or the Caribbean every summer. She used to tell me how she loved the beach which reminds me of the Philippines. The Caribbean has so many fun stuff to offer if you know where to go. Now it is that time of the year again to get away with your loved ones. If this is your first time visiting Caribbean you should visit www.winco.com to begin your Caribbean villa rentals search or call 1-800-449-1553 for assistance. They can help you with any questions you may have in mind. Imagine the beach, the breeze and you so close to nature. Make this the most wonderful summer ever.

    To Shopping We Go

Ryan will be coming home early so that we can go shopping. We have been putting it off since last week. It is sometimes chilly outside too that I am the one who doesn't want to go. And of course if only Ryan can go by himself but no he needs mama and Frankie to come with him. So Frankie is on bed right now and hopefully he will get up in time for Ryan coming home. I don't really like it when we have to wake him up so that we can go. It doesn't bother him but I always wants him to have enough sleep especially now that he is teething badly.

    Laptops

Have you seen all the new and cool laptops at www.buy.com? They surely have a wide selection of laptops. One of the things I don’t like shopping online is when you search for a product in a certain website lets say you are looking for a laptop, they also show you the most expensive one, right? Then you will end up looking for something you can't afford. What I like about www.buy.com is you can click on the price range that suits to your budget and they show you the laptops that are within the range. It cuts you the time from looking around. It is also nice how you can watch a product demo of the laptop you like to gain a better understanding of it before buying. Isn't it nice? If laptop is what you are looking for check www.buy.com first before you go anywhere else.

    Singing For Frankie

Almost over you by Sheena Easton and On the wings of love by James Ingram I think are the couple of songs I always sing with Frankie during his nap time. I honestly don't know how it started but when I put him to bed and sing those couple of songs he just goes to bed right away. I am not sure if you know but I love singing. It runs in the family. My Papa can sing and my sisters too. What I liked the most too is when I sing Frankie hums... until he fall asleep. I am surely going to miss doing this with him every nap time when I go back working but I am sure Papa will do it for me. It would be great too if he inherited the love for music that my family have.

    Waiting To Buy

Ryan and I have been contemplating if we are going to buy a new living room furniture or not. We have been looking around in stores and we even inquire one time but we changed our minds. We are waiting to sell this house and it will be a hassle to transport the furniture from one house to the next. Besides we could be in between houses since we want our next house built. It can end up in storage with the rest of our stuff. So what we decided is to wait till we move in the next house. I am sure there is a lot of modern furniture at www.spacify.com when we are ready.

    The Toothbrush and VHS Player

    Sunday, May 11, 2008

Frankie woke up so early this morning. I didn't want to get up because I was suffering from allergy but if Frankie's up I really didn't have any choice but to get up. I gave him his breakfast and milk but I also took some of the sheets and put it in the living room so that I can still watch him play while laying down. He was eagerly waiting for me to turn on the teletubbies as you can see he doesn't have any milk anymore. I eject the VHS to replace it with another one but it won't come up. I tried it again and it was still the same. I opened it to see what was going on. I tried ejecting it again but it was not going anywhere as if something was holding it back. Then I looked closely, there was something green and there it was Frankie's toothbrush stuck inside the VHS player preventing it from going up. I pulled it, the bristles are all messed up so we need to buy him another one. I don't even know how many toothbrushes we bought him already. Blame it to the mother who kept buying.

Then he was happily enjoying his Teletubbies.

    Advertise At SocialSpark

    Friday, May 9, 2008

I never imagine that I can write. I hate writing those papers in college and surely didn’t like writing a detailed lesson plan when I was teaching. But one thing is for sure PayPerPost and SocialSpark brought out the best in me and I have been writing for them and the advertisers for almost a year now.

I have written about different subjects from travels, calling cards, insurance, fashion and so on but two of my favorites have always been baby clothing and invitations especially birthday invitations. I also like writing about something that I can relate like a boarding school for troubled teens because I have dealt with trouble teens before back when I was teaching, a book or it could also be women’s fashion since I worked retail for over 3 years. Having to do a review for men’s accessories and clothing would also be perfect because I am so familiar with its ins and outs. When we know exactly what we want and what we like everything just flows so easily hence making it so easy to write.

So if you have something you want other people to know about such as a website, your products or services then why don’t you give SocialSpark.com a visit and create an advertiser’s profile. They have an army of writers waiting to get into work. This is definitely the right way to advertise.

    Can You Blame Me?

My mother irons all our clothes when we were growing up. Every Saturday is when the clothes are washed and every Sunday is when it is supposed to be iron. She is so particular with the whites. She made sure that our school uniforms are sparkling white and ironed. That is why when I got married I couldn't help but do the same thing to Ryan. It is so much hassle though. I have tried not ironing his clothes when he goes to work but the moment I see him when he gets home, I always hate it. I used to tell him I wonder what the people at work will say about his wife letting him wear such a wrinkled shirt although I am sure they really don't care. Now my clothes to iron is piling up and I can't wait when I am finally over with them.

    iSOLD It

It is amazing how easy it is these days to get rid of something you don’t need and make money off of it. That is definitely the magic of the internet and eBay. I know a lot of people who have saved a lot from buying stuff online through eBay although Ryan and I have never tried it before. There are so many things that we would like to get rid of such as Ryan’s baseball cards, electronic gadgets and more that are just collecting dust in the drawer. I have to say that if one can sell a nail clipper or nail polish through eBay then you can sell anything.

I decided to breastfeed Frankie when I had him but unfortunately his 7 days more stay in the hospital made him get used to of the bottle that when he got home, it didn’t work out. So my last resort was to pump. Ryan and I went to different stores to look for a breast pump but there were all unbelievably expensive. The Medela Pump In Style Electric Double Breastpump was almost $200.00 in the stores that I found only $39.99 through eBay. With that price you can always get rid of the accessories because most stores carry them. Just look at how much we could have saved if we only know.

EBay has helped a lot of people get rid of their stuff. You will probably think of it as junk but it could be something worth to someone. However, if I decide to sell something I will drop off my items at iSold It and they will do all the work for me. They are experienced in what they do and can provide the right value of your items rather than you doing the guessing game. Then they photograph your items for bidders to see and once it’s up at eBay, they will send you an email with the link of the auction so you know what is going on. After the items sell, they shipped it for you and you get the check. They do the dirty work for you. Locate the nearest iSold It store to drop off and start making money with your things today.

    New DVD Player

    Thursday, May 8, 2008

We really need a new DVD player. You see, before we have 2 and one built in with the TV I won from Target. The built in DVD we can never use because Frankie kept pressing the button so it usually ejects the DVD and he plays with it. That is why one of his Barney DVD is so messed up with scratches but at least we can still play it. Then one I got from Ryan for Christmas. It came with two microphones and we can actually sing karaoke with it but unfortunately Frankie opened the cabinet while I was in the kitchen and he pound on it really hard and now it is not working. Ryan did everything he could but it won't work anymore. He ended up opening it to see the inside of the player. So now we transfered what we have in the bedroom outside and we need one for our bedroom. I am just glad that they are not that expensive.

    Join SocialSpark

When I first heard and read about Social Spark I thought it will be the same as PayPerPost. When I was browsing the website, I was a little intimidated and it looked so confusing. I waited for a couple of days to finally sign up and I thought it will be hard to figure out. That was the best thing I ever did. Everything was so easy and I have been encouraging friends and family members to give it a try.

One of the many things I love about SocialSpark is, it is also a network where you can find and make friends. You can browse to other member’s profile and add them as your friend as well. Another thing I liked is you can reserve multiple opportunities and the good thing is, you have 12 hours to finish it. I have a 13 month old son that is very active so I don’t have much time to sit in front of the computer. The moment my son takes his nap is when I write the opportunity. I also like how we can wait for a slot and as soon as it is available they reserve the opportunity for you. I was starting to worry on where I am going to get my sister’s tuition fee after I lost my pr since December. Social Spark is definitely another alternative because so far all opportunities didn’t require any pr. Although the only disadvantage I have encounter so far is when you are browsing for an opportunity and you get to the 2nd or 3rd page and so on, and you decide to open an opportunity to read, if you try to hit back, it doesn’t go back to the previous page you were in but instead to the very 1st opportunity page, allowing you to browse all over again. But it is nothing major which I am sure it will be an easy fix. Check out my profile to give you an idea. Look at how organize everything is. You can also find messages from friends and the list of my friends. It is a great place and I am glad I signed up. You should too.

    Happy Baby

I have so say I am so blessed with Frankie in all aspects. He is such as happy baby that everything seems to be easy. I can't imagine if he is a crabby baby and I have to take care of him by myself overnight and when Ryan is at work. There are times when I terribly miss the help from the Philippines. Especially when I have so much to write and had to stay up late to write. I really want to just wake up late but I can't because Frankie is already up. But he is more than worth it and in time I will be getting so much help for him.

    Butty butty up
